Summary:
"1) the work limitation with each employer has increased from 3 to 6 months
2) the study/training limitation has increased from 3 to 4 months.
3) definition of seasonal work for second Working Holiday visa eligibility has been expanded from harvest work to also include plant and animal cultivation, fishing and pearling, and tree farming and felling. "

1) 可受顧於同一個顧主最多六個月
2) 讀書/受訓增至四個月
3) 有關申請第二年WHV... "harvest work"的定義有所擴充

留意... 如果你2006年7月1日前申請WHV....舊條款亦有改變.....

Policy extension of work rights for existing visa holders

Underlegislation, Working Holiday and Work and Holiday visa holders, whoapplied for their visa before 1 July 2006, remain subject to condition8108 (work limitation of 3 months per employer unless furtherpermission is granted) and condition 8201 (3 months study/traininglimitation).

However, steps have been taken toensure all Working Holiday and Work and Holiday visa holders receivethe same work rights, regardless of when they applied for their visa.

TheSecretary of the department has granted persons who applied for theirvisa before 1 July 2006 permission to work for each employer for up to6 months. The Secretary is able to do so as condition 8108states: "The holder must not be employed in Australia by any 1 employerfor more than 3 months, without the prior permission in writing of theSecretary".

This means that Working Holiday and Work & Holiday visa holders, who applied for their visa before 1 July 2006:

    * will have condition 8108 on their visa; but
   * do not need to request an extension from the department to work foreach employer for up to 6 months, while on their current visa.

Employers may confirm these work rights using the Entitlement Verification Online (EVO) system.

Pleasenote that the extension applies only to the work limitation. Thestudy/training limitation for people who applied for their visa before1 July 2006 remains at 3 months.

我又試過用佢比個個id我又入唔到去睇咁我去唔去做b-c好呢.....????

Australian Values Statement
From 15 October 2007, if you are aged 18 years or over, as part of your visa application you must declare that you will respect Australian values and obey the laws of Australia. For this visa, the values statement is included in the general declaration section of the application form. When you sign the application form it means you will also be signing the values statement. You will not be required to have read the Life in Australia book, but may do so if you wish.

You are also encouraged to gain an understanding of Australia, its people and their way of life, before applying for this visa.

Passport holders from the Republic of Cyprus and British National Overseas passport holders are now able to lodge first and second Working Holiday visas online.

26 June 2008

New trial health requirements are in place for people who apply for a second Working Holiday visa.

Under trial arrangements these applicants will generally have to do fewer health examinations if any, to meet the health requirement.

1 September 2008
Changes to Location of Processing of second Working Holiday visa Applications come into effect 1 September 2008.
The department is consolidating visa and citizenship processing into dedicated centres around Australia.
From 1 September 2008 all new second Working Holiday visa applications will be processed in the Cairns Second Working Holiday Centre.
