however i still have one question about the visa.
I have a BNO passport which has already expired in 2006. After that I applied HKSAR passport and I didn't renew my BNO.
Am I able to renew my BNO even though I am holding a HKSAR passport ?

what FAQ mention is only...

According to the Immigration Rules paragraphs 24-30C, 95-97 and 321 (which I believe are relating to Working Holidaymaker Scheme) of the attached link, there is no mentioning of the fact that you will have to enter the UK within 3 months of the first day of the validity of Entry Clearance.  Could you please advise where you received the information in your bullet above?

I am still awaiting clarification from Carolyn (or Caroline?).  If we stick to the immigration rules, it is clear that there is no such restrictions (i.e that you have to enter the UK within 3 months after your Entry Certificate becomes valid).

sorry for this very late reply since i haven't checked this webpage for a long time.

i was told I had to enter the UK within 3 three months once the visa was issued when i collected the visa. but it was about 2 years ago.

btw, the british working holiday visa may no longer exist from the 3rd quarter of this year (2008) since the home office is going to change this scheme. please pay attention to the latest news about this planning.

I've emailed to the consulate yesterday, their reply was "we would suggest you to leave Hong Kong within 1 month after you have granted the visa".

From the quotation, it was only a suggestion to leave within one month, and it is not a legal requirement to enter the United Kingdom within one month after you have granted the entry certificate.
