Hey, please tell me much more information about 'work holiday' in England.

I used to work in England for 8 months. I lived with the English Family. I know that the age should be under 30. The pound is about 3.60 pound per hour!

Any useful website that I can search for this kind of information? I think that at least you can work in the China Town of England.

Not only London, but also Edinburgh or Wales .....

The minimum wage is higher than GBP3.60 per hour these days.  The information on minimum wage is available from the Department for Works and Pensions website

I strongly advise not to work for the Chinese community as you will not have the opportunity to understand the culture here in the UK.

I also want to apply for the UK working visa and I'm thinking learning driving in HK before going to UK as in case it'd be more convenient to rent a car for traveling around the country.

Do you know if it's good to learn it in UK, is it expensive, and how long will it take to get a driving license? How much in renting a car?

It now costs about 20 to 25 quid an hour, and it takes about 16 - 20 hours to learn.  You have to do your written test (Theory Test) before you can do your practical test.

The rental cost depends on the size of the car that you have and you have to pay a higher premium if you have passed a driving test in less than 12 months.

要去英國的話，其實比較想去scotland，同埋想搵文職工作。想問問去edinburgh好ｄ，或是去glascow好ｄ呢？

Glasgow is more business like city but I personally don't like Glasgow much.

Edinburgh is just tourist city although the Scottish Parliament is located in Edinburgh.

The bank holidays are different between Glasgow and Edinburgh (There are regional variations in bank holidays in the summer in Scotland.)

I want to ask if I go to apply this visa next January and they grant my application. Then can I make the commence date in next October?

By the way, do I need to arragne the accommodation before apply this visa in order to show to the officer that I have made a preparation?

呢個visa既period好似吾係計你入境果日，應該係計你當你apply既時候，你同佢講幾邊日開始而計二十四個月。

所以建議你睇睇你個visa

因為我當時已接近31大限，在香港拿visa的時候，職員已建議我最好生日前入境，否則有機會在入境時，被拒絕用這個visa入境。所以如果與我年齡跟我差不多的朋友就要注意這一點了。
